I have had the pleasure of working with Ela Builders on numerous projects large and small over the last decade.

I’ve used Ela PNG for many years whether it’s been for small to large residential jobs to commercial jobs. I’ve not ever been told we can’t do this. The Mildas Plaza project was always going to be a challenging project. Anything built outside of Port Moresby or Lae requires a greater sense of attention to detail and an adept knowledge of construction within the Papua New Guinean context. A site in Madang would require a local contractor that understood the intricacies of construction work within the province. The need for local context and expertise was an imperative. We needed a contractor that could deliver on time and in budget.  

This was integral in the rationale behind the selection of Ela Builder’s being awarded the contract to construct the now practically complete Mildas Plaza. 

The Building that now stands at the Mildas Plaza is testament to Ela Builder’s capacity to construct a project during one of the most difficult times in our country’s history. The arrival of Covid19 in PNG stalled multiple projects throughout the country, however even with all these new challenges, Ela Builder’s adapted and work progressed on the Mildas Plaza. I would not hesitate to recommend Ela Builder’s for future work be it residential, industrial or commercial in nature.

Working with the team at Ela was an absolute pleasure. They were always able to scope up work quickly and provide prompt and detailed quotes. They always began work when they said they would, and any delays were communicated ahead of time so that we could also plan accordingly. Ela undertook everything for us, from basic maintenance to building warehouses and even fabricating donga (container) offices which we shipped all around the country.
